INFOMDWR – Information about the Mid-Term Exam

Information about the mid-term exam on Friday, October 4, 2024.

Practicalities

The final exam is made using Remindo and it will be on-location.

  • Laptops will be provided.
  • Naturally, you need to be able to log in to Remindo on these laptops. Don’t forget your password.
  • The time allotted for the exam is 120 minutes (time for students with extra time depends on the allowed time by the student desk).
  • The exam is scheduled 13:30 – 16:30 (check your timetable for any updates).
Where to go?

Students who signed up to take the exam in a room with low occupancy “minder massaal” will receive an email about the exam location. ALL other students should attend the exam in OLYMPUS-HAL2.

You are allowed to bring:
  • a pen / pencil.
  • blank papers to write notes (we will bring with us also if you need).
  • a simple calculator (no programmable device) if you do not like Remindo’s built-in calculator (there a scientific built-in calculator).
  • A4 double-sided cheat sheet.
You must bring:

an ID that includes your photo (accepted IDs are: national ID, passport, or driving license).

Exam structure (120 minutes)

Multiple-choice questions: The multiple-choice part will be similar to what you will see during the practice exam (there will be a 10 minutes practice exam during the Q&A session on Wednesday, October 2, 2024).

Open questions: The open question part will test your understanding of core concepts in the course. Each question has different weight so spend your time wisely.

Exam content

The exam will include all the materials from the course (lectures, labs, readings), with a focus on the materials we have discussed during the lectures and labs.

When and how to leave?

You are NOT allowed to leave the exam location before one hour of the exam starting time. During the allowed interval, submit your answers and leave quietly to allow your colleagues to focus on their exam.

If the connection to the network is lost, inform us and the IT support team should solve the problem. If they suggest using a different computer, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PROGRESS IS SAVED CORRECTLY.
